We Invite You to Admire Beautiful Rhododendron Flowers Blooming!

Rhododendrons began to flower in the Sakhalin Regional Museum’s park. The first buds have already opened, and the remaining buds are expected to be fully bloom in the upcoming weekend.
The word Rhododendron comes from the Latin meaning «rose tree.» Rhododendrons are evergreen or deciduous plants, which can be either shrub or semi-shrub, or a tree. There are many types and species of rhododendrons.
The flowers of rhododendrons growing in the Museum’s park are big enough, they can reach eight centimeters in diameter and larger, they have many colour variations. Each flower head looks like a big bright bouquet.
Rhododendron blooms lasts only a couple of weeks, so come and admire the beauty of flowers growing in the park ensemble of the Museum.
