The 200th Anniversary of I. K. Aivazovsky Birth

A lecture devoted to Russian Marine Painter — Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky will be delivered at the Sakhalin Regional Museum of Local History.
Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky is a prominent marine artist. He created about 6000 paintings, where the beauty of the sea appears differently, but in all its splendor and grandeur — romantic landscapes, sea battles and the power of the marine element.
You will learn when and where the genre of fine art depicting the sea originated; get acquainted with the biography of I.K. Aivazovsky; see reproductions of paintings painted by the great artist in Russia (Feodosia), Spain, Italy.
Children and grown-ups will be able to participate in the creative workshop «Sea», making their drawings on the marine theme.
