WhatТs coming in the new year? Will the coming year bring you good luck? Will you be lucky in love? We are interested to see what the future looks like. Fortunetelling is one way to lift the veil. In Russia, there were fortunetellers from time immemorial. There are many different methods of divination. The nights on the Christmas Eve, New Year and Epiphany were considered to be the most suitable for mysterious fortune-telling..

January 13 at 12:00 (noon) and at 2:00 p.m., the Sakhalin Regional Museum invites boys and girls, as well as their parents, to participate in the Old New Year at the Museum event to be conducted as part of the Family Activities educational program.
You will get acquainted with traditions, customs and ideas of the Eastern Slavs about the surrounding world using as an example rituals and fortune-telling, learn about the origins of the tradition of telling fortune in Russia, the rules of divination and the ancient beliefs of our ancestors.
Join us to celebrate the Old New Year at the Museum!!!

For children from 5 to 10 years old and their parents.
