The Snowflake Wont Melt

Irina Shikalova, the leading methodologist of the Museum, conducted a creative class for children and their parents «The Snowflake Wont Melt» as part of Santa Claus Workshop series of master classes.
Participants of the event learned what snowflakes are made of, what shape and structure they have, how they are formed.
As a visual material were presented the works of the famous photographer Alexey Klyatov, who shoots breathtaking macro snowflake images.
The participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with several watercolor painting techniques. Adults and children were happy to draw snowflakes, applying «wet» and «glaze» techniques under the direction of Irina Sergeevna.
These snowflakes decorated postcards of visitors, which they took with them at the end of the event.
