Enjoy a Day at the Museum to Celebrate International Polar Bear Day

On February 27 and 28, the Sakhalin Regional Museum invites you to attend an Educational Program dedicated to International Polar Bear Day (celebrated on February 27, 2018).
The Educational Program includes a lecture on polar bears, which will tell you about features of bearТs skeletal structure, the appearance of the animal and brief description of bear species and the populations, raise public awareness about the status of protection of these mammals. Little Sakhaliners will also be able to find out how smart and intelligent polar bears are and how they are adapted for living in extreme cold environment.
Moreover, the attendees will be provided information on brown bears that live in the Sakhalin region, their characteristics and basic safety precautions on what to do if you encounter a bear in the wilderness.
