Borodino. Immersion in the Era.

On March 3 at 12:00 (noon) and at 3:00 p.m. the Sakhalin Regional Museum invites visitors to become participants of the Borodino. Immersion in the Era. Educational Program. The event includes a guided tour through the exhibition «Borodino — the Glory of Russia» from the collection of the State Borodino War and History Museum-Reserve (Moscow region, Borodino village), which will run until March 11, 2018 and a lecture on the Patriotic War of 1812.
One of the most striking pages of Russian military history will be revealed at the lecture: you will learn about the key figures of the Patriotic War of 1812, their personal qualities, heroic feats and their experience from life. Special attention will be paid to the most important battle of the Patriotic War of 1812 Ц the Battle of Borodino. Together we will recall the course of the battle, the balance of military forces and equipment, learn opinions of historians on this issue and the consequences of this battle for Russia and France.
