April 1213, 2018, the First Media Forum of the Russian Islands was held at the Sakhalin State University in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Among the key speakers of the Media Forum were experts at the federal level: Chairman of the Russian Union of Journalists Vladimir Solovyov; TV reporter, journalist and commentator of the First Channel Anton Vernitsky; Soviet and Russian journalist of the TV channel «Russia Today» Alexander Gurnov; the editor-in-chief of «Russia Beyond» project of the TV channel «Russia Today» Vsevolod Pulya. Leading representatives of the media community of the Far East, invited federal experts discussed the latest trends in the digital-marketing, PR for business, social media opportunities and other topical issues of the industry development.
In the work of the Media Forum program, the participants of this event had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Sakhalin Regional Museum exhibition stand during the two days. They could look through the museum’s editions and publications, get acquainted with artifacts, items and objects representing the way of life and culture of the indigenous peoples of Sakhalin the Nivkhs. The visitors of the Media Forum had a unique opportunity to try on the Nivkhs national robe and play on the musical instrument «tyati-chharsh».
