The exhibition «The Charm of the Japanese Province» opens at the Sakhalin Regional Museum on June 21, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. and includes photos by Vyacheslav Furashov, photographer and traveler
The main part of the exhibition comprises photographs showing places that are still not very familiar to Russians, but the very popular among the Japanese. The route of Japanese domestic tourism passes through the Japanese «outback», carefully preserved in this high-tech country: Tokyo Kanazawa Shirakawa Ц Takayama. Girls in traditional kimonos, rickshaws on narrow streets, houses near rice paddies, quiet charm of village places and the beauty of local nature; visitors to the exhibition will become immersed in the atmosphere of the Japanese province.
Vyacheslav Furashov lives and works in Vladivostok, travels a lot around his native land and the world, trying to capture the beauty, spirit and energy of different places of our planet. The author said: "The most part of the exposition is occupied by works stylized with Fujicolor Superia 1600 film. This Fujicolor Superia 1600 film of the 1980s was hugely popular at that time among Japanese tourists. Using this film, I tried to convey the connection of times Ц our contemporaries see lands which Japanese tourists saw 30 years ago and today we can also see them too. "
The exhibition is open until September 2, 2018.
