Series of Lectures on Natural History of Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands

Lecture will be delivered by Galina Vasilievna Begalova, Senior Researcher, Laboratory of Commercial Invertebrates and Algae, SakhNIRO.
Grass shrimp is a valuable object of coastal and recreational fishing, well known to many residents of Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands.
At the lecture, the attendees will get to know about the biology of this species, habitats, and also discover the meaning of the Grass Shrimp name.
You will also learn how research is conducted to estimate the population of this type of shrimp, how many species are caught in the Sakhalin region as well as the equipment and methods used for finding and catching shrimp.
