Give Books With Love Initiative

February 14 is the International Book Giving Day appeared in 2012 at the initiative of the citizen of the United States of America, Amy Broadmoor, librarian from Minnesota, who decided that every person could share his / her love not only to other people, but also books. According to her idea, people should be encouraged to give books to children and to those whose access to books and reading is limited.
The initiative «Give Books With Love» will take place at the Sakhalin Regional Museum. Any guest can «put» a book that deeply impressed him / her on a special shop window. If you want, you can sign the book and leave your messages to the future reader, write or attach a personal review.
This initiative will last from February 14 to February 21, and, based on its results, recommended lists of books of active participants stating their names will be compiled and rating of the most popular publications will be determined.
Give books to friends and relatives, bring them to the Sakhalin Regional Museum, including the special book collection points from where they will be transferred to orphanages, schools, and libraries.
Books can be placed in a rack in the lobby on the first floor.
