On September 14, Sakhalin Regional Museum organized a festive program dedicated to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk City Day.
Several playgrounds were opened and a wide range of actions was conducted on that day. Those people who wanted to learn more about Museum activities, went on the quest «We Are Not Wild in the Wildlife» and took the guided tour «Museum Collections». In parallel to the quest, visitors could participate in a board game «Name on the Map» showing their knowledge about the history and geography of the native land.
For those who love to do arts and crafts, master classes «Origami Fairy Tale -» and «Korean Paper Art» were conducted.
Soloists and choirs of Childrens Music Schools and Childrens Art Schools of the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk gathered all visitors at the museum walls and congratulated the City on its 137th anniversary with cheerful songs and dances.
The main part of the program included the opening of the exhibition «Koreans on Sakhalin» and the first tour around the exhibition. Korean tea party and national outdoor games organized by students from Kenghi University in Seoul helped to reveal the intricacies of Korean culture.
An intense program of activities was concluded with a closing ceremony.
